New Grant Saves Agency

Niagara Falls, ON = We are pleased to announce Ontario Trillium Foundation has awarded Epilepsy Niagara with a Resilient Communities Fund grant.

With a $183,600 Resilient Communities Fund grant over 24 months, we will recover and build its resiliency from impacts of COVID-19 by implementing an Agency Recovery project to develop new and innovative long-term awareness campaigns, revenue streams, and fundraising initiatives within Niagara.

With this grant, we will hire two positions (one part-time and one full-time) to execute this project.

We are pleased to announce our new staff members:

Anielle Beaulieu, Community Impact Coordinator and Linda Warren Camus, Social Media Coordinator

Welcome to the Epilepsy Niagara team!

What We Plan To Do;

  • Develop a 2-year strategic plan over these next two years to ensure the agency can be more resilient in facing new challenges and hurdles that we as an organization typically regularly face.
  • Strengthen our connections within the Niagara community to better serve our clientele, and build relationships with other organizations both locally and nationally.
  • Build up our social media and online presence to be more current and innovative.
  • Develop comprehensive donor and sponsorship databases
  • Implement new revenue generation activities, like a major annual event
  • Review current programs and improve where necessary

We also want to take this opportunity to thank Wayne Gates for his unwavering support of our organization. Thank you for your recognition letter, Mr. Gates! The importance of this grant and how it will positively impact our organization cannot be said enough, and we are inherently grateful for the belief in our agency and how much we are needed in Niagara.

With all of the challenges, and many that have felt insurmountable, Epilepsy Niagara is grateful for the support given to us by the Ontario Trillium Foundation. As an organization, we look forward to growing stronger and more resilient over these next two years.
