Walkathon

It’s back! The fan favourite is better than ever before and we hope you can help us raise awareness of epilepsy and seizure disorders as well as funds for our children’s support, education and empowerment programs. This year, we are now and forever, dedicating this event to Jacob Kiddey who recently tragically passed away at the age of 20.  Jacob, a vibrant, loving, intelligent, caring and gentle soul, was the nephew of our Executive Director, and is missed greatly by his friends and family.  As he was a wonderful role model, EN finds it important to honour Jacob’s life and memory by not only dedicating the event to him, but our child and youth programs as well. These programs are designed to empower and support kids and young adults living with and affected by epilepsy.

Now what exactly is Trivia Per-SHOE-It? Well, it’s a hybrid of Trivial Pursuit and walkathon! Think of it as a living game of Trivial Pursuit played at the track at Oakes Park in Niagara Falls (5700 Morrison Street) – and yes, you have to “pur-SHOE-it” around the track, just like the popular board game.

Teams are to be made up of TWO to FOUR players with at least one adult (17 years old and up) per team. Feel free to dress up and be silly! Walk for a family member, friend, or just play to test your trivia knowledge! Adults are $25 and kids (8-16 years old) are $10.

We will have free t-shirts while supplies last, so register your team as soon as possible! To register, fill out the contact form below with your team name and add the names of your members and hit send. It’s that easy! Fees are due at the walkathon, and if an adult collects $100 or kids collect $50 or more in pledges, the fee is waived. Each team member is responsible for their fee and pledges, if collected. Tax receipts are issued for amounts over $15 (in pledges).

Registration for the walkathon is due August 31 (fees due at walkathon); if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call (289) 296-3460 or email us.

Registration form is below – please don’t forget to indicate ages of participants between the ages of 8 and 16 years of age.
